Utilities

The City of Pacific provides water, sewer, garbage and storm water services. Utility billings are done on a monthly basis.

The City Council has determined that utility accounts are to be in the name of property owners only and new accounts are billed a deposit of $50 and a $10 set up fee. The City bills for services in arrears on the last day of each month and payment is due upon receipt of statement. Timely payment is encouraged and late fees are imposed if unpaid on the 30th day after billing. Other fees may be incurred for returned checks, water turn off due to non-payment or meter tampering.

In Person
Payments may be made in person at City Hall 100 3rd Avenue SE. The Finance Department is open 9 AM to 4 pm Monday through Friday to accept payment by cash, check, money order, Visa or MasterCard. After hours payment (check only) may be deposited in the drop box at the west entrance on Milwaukee Avenue.

By Mail
Allow sufficient time for mail to be delivered before the Past Due date shown on the billing statement.DO NOT SEND CASH BY MAIL. Return your check or money order and the bottom of your utility bill to the Finance Department.

By Phone or Internet - 24 Hours A Day
To pay by credit card, call toll free 1-800-272-9829 or visit www.officialpayments.com. Use Jurisdiction Code 5650 and your utility account number. Official Payments Corporation charges a fee for this service.

What to do if You Disagree With Your Bill
If you believe your bill is incorrect, call Utility Billing as soon as you receive the bill. Staff will provide a prompt explanation, investigation, or adjustment.

If you still feel the bill is incorrect, please submit a written statement containing all the facts. The utility bill must be paid in full while it is being investigated.

Discounts for Veterans and Senior Citizens

A discount of 15% is applied to all utility charges for qualifying citizens who are 65 years or older and who meet low-income guidelines. You must complete an application for approval of this discount. Call to see if you qualify.
